Some down time.....

Part of keeping a healthy, radiant, and 'kept' appearance is giving ourselves the proper rest and relaxation that our bodies NEED! It's amazing what a couple days off, and I mean really off, will do for your mood, energy and your appearance. We just got back from a beautiful resort here in Gamboa, Panama and while we only stayed for a quick trip, it was soooo NEEDED!! Give yourself time off too....it will do your body & mind some good!

Here are a couple of quick picks of the beauty that surrounded us right out side our hotel room....

My three Blessings just chillin' in bed. My son is always making either a serious face or a funny face for pictures...drives me crazy, but what are you gonna do! Love the little guy...love mi familia!

Wear them for ME!

So it is summer time down here in Panama, which always feels that way to me being that I grew up in Colorado, but that means that it is the dry season here, and even more hot! Which means that while many of you in those cooler climates are wearing some beautiful boots...I am not! I have to say that I really do miss wearing a lovely pair of boots, and while many do wear boots here, more during the rainy season, it is still hot here year round. Being that I grew up in a cooler climate, one with definite seasons too, it seems so different to me to be wearing boots when it is so hot out. So to those of you whom may be tiring of wearing those boots of yours, know that I am wanting to wear some myself and please wear them for me! I know many of you are ready to switch it up though, I do remember that, so here are some ideas to help you switch it up and push through until you can bust out those open toed heels!

Some different ideas as the weather starts warming up for you, and if you are over the jeans with the boots. Gives you a little more of a Spring feel.

Though these Thomas Wylde Boots are no longer available there are many other brands that still offer these fold overs, which I LOVE. They are probably on discount now that Spring/Summer wear are all moving in.

Check those bad boys out. Always fun to wear something different.

OK, I could wear something like this here, but I am telling you....it is HOT here for boots. Unless you're in AC most of the day...which I am not! Love that style of boot though. These would be cute to start wearing with skirts too and transition into Spring wear as the weather warms up.

Weekend is coming, God willing!
*Remember to hold on to those ideas you have and believe in them...the mind and the belief are so powerful!

Weekend Attire Ideas...Perhaps?

Weekend is here! For many of us it's a time to change our attire up. I know for me I get out a little more with my husband (not just running errands like in the week) and so I tend to put a little more effort into my attire. It may be opposite for many of you working women who want to dress down more so, or you single women who might be going to meet up with your fav girls or possibly have a date, but my point being that weekends are filled with people and places (not always but quite often) and why not plant some little seeds of thought in your pretty little heads of what you can put together for where ever your weekend might be taking you!

I like that you can see that whether you're in a warm or cool climate both outfits (so similar) look good whether with boots or open toe heels! I personally would even wear a high- over- the knee boot with either too.

I have to admit that I am a fan of leggins'. You really can pair so much with them.

Love blazers.

An open scarf like that adds just enough...plus if it is cool then there ya go.

May we all continue to pray for the people in Haiti and appreciate all that each of us has.

Merry Christmas!!!

I know it is a couple of days early but with my hubby being home now, I will not be on the computer as much. I wanted to get my Christmas wishes in before it is too late. Today I have posted an outfit similar to what I will be sportin' for some of the festivities this week. I am going with a more casual, relaxed yet, of course, chic look. This selection will allow me in enjoying all of that yummy food we all know will be there! Take a peek and let me know what you think!

What I will be wearing to Christmas Dinner

I went with a wider leg trouser, also higher waist, just in case I eat one too many of our delicious Holiday bars! Also, not so sure it is wise to wear a lower waist jean with all the bending over and grabbing of presents...yikes!! The longer shirt and bomber jacket allow me a little camouflage if my poor tummy just can't take it any more from all of my 'taste testing';)

*Extra food for thought (since we are going to be around a lot of food anyway!): You could always wear some leggin's with a pair of over -the- knee boots with this outfit...love that look. You could wear some red heels instead of the black I picked, skinny jeans look just as great (totally all about preference) or you could change the top out for a boyfriend sweater, wear a great turtle neck under the jacket, go with a dressier top etc.

I am sure you all will look faBUlous these Holidays...hope you feel fab too! No matter how you look, because really (though I am a lover of some style) that's not what it is about, I truly wish you a very blessed Christmas!!

Feliz Navidad!!!

If I must go Christmas Shopping then I must wear this....

I wouldn't mind starting the week out in any of these outfits, especially if I were going shopping,
perhaps! Of course to buy for other people though;) Do any of you find though, that when you are shopping for others it always seems like you stumble upon so many things you would love to buy for yourself? Tis the the Season!
I can see why Beyonce was voted as People Magazine's 'best street chic' of 09.

Would take either/both pairs of these jeans Cameron is wearing....that is why she was voted 'best denim' by People as well.

I happen to love the thigh-highs, and apparently so does Miss Hudson. I have seen her sportin' them quite a bit this season.

I also happen to like the more 'preppy' look as well...clean, classy, and put together.

It's always fun to switch your look up.

These boots are exactly what I was talking about...they are just thing that would jump out at me (screaming for me to try them on...we all know what happens after that) while I am trying to Christmas shop for SOMEONE ELSE!

4 days to go!!! Hope all you lovelies are enjoying this Christmas Season, and are enjoying being out and about in all the crowds! I actually do....guess it just comes with Christmas.

On another note, I wanted to just post how sorry I am for the family of Brittany Murphy. My prayers are with those she left behind here. It's sad that it always takes hearing about the loss of someone, or experiencing it in our own lives, to remember how precious and valuable each day that we are given is. Truly try to cherish those around you, as well as yourself!

Happy Holidays to you all and as always..... Blessings!!!

Picks of the week.

My pics for this week, are short and sweet. I have posted some pant/leggins outfits to, hopefully, provide you with some re-enforcement that you can look just as hot in some smokin' pants or leggins when paired with just the right top! If you feel more comfortable and as though your figure might look more flattered when wearing some dress pants, then go with that green light. It seems that most of the lovelies I have seen thus far have been in to the all black look when daring to wear some dress pants, or leggins'. If you wish to add some color, remember that you can add that in with your jewelry, hair accessories, and especially make up....have fun with that eye shadow, sport those red lips, or switch up that eye liner!

Lovin' this outfit Rhianna is wearing above.

What a sleek look.

I think the heels some how tie this all in for Anne.

This seriously looks so soft on your skin!

If this is a little much for you, I happen to love it, you can always replace the boots with a great pair of heels, or go with a sleeker more fitted, less going on style of boot.... if preferred.

If any of you have some rockin' Holiday outfits that you are pretty proud of, send me some pics (via my e-mail posted on the side bar) I would love to post them and show off some of my fashionista readers!

Have blessed weekend! Take time to really breath, let the one you love really know it, take a minute to really appreciate your good health, let those things that can cause you some irritation go and enjoy the life you have been given!
Hasta el lunes!!!

Picks of the week.

I always like to throw some different styles in for my pics of the week. That's probably because that's more my personality. I like to switch it up quite a bit...dress to impress, simple dresses, boots (all styles..mostly), jackets, be down right comfy and I actually like a sporty style too! Here are some styles that I like for different reasons, and as usual, hope that these can give you some inspiration when going through your closets...or shopping! May all of you style lovelies have a beautiful weekend!

OK, I am liking these jeans that Kim K. has on, and can't help but love the jacket too.

Amerie did it again for me....love this dress, and tan heels too!

Do you see those tights?!

I am into the bomber/biker jackets and I like this casual look with it. Adds just enough to this simple style. * Something to remember: It's always fun to play your make-up, up, when wearing a simple look;)

I am one to usually opt for heels, but Gwyneth shows us that some cute flat boots still give some style (comfort too!) when in mommy mode.

This pic is obviously more about the purse than the outfit, and just wanted to show that a great tote is always needed no matter what the outfit....just makes everything better!!

I not only like the blazer with the skinny jeans that Gabrielle is sportin' , but also like the ruffles peeking out...makes it extra feminine.

I like this just for Keri's shirt...love the sleeves and the color.

Like the thigh-highs on Hayden, and the coat too.

Eva is another who's style never seems to disappoint me.

Something to ponder on this weekend: If you were at a point were you have reached your FULL potential, where do you feel you would be right now?

Until Monday.....

How high is too high?

Thigh-High perhaps? This new trend is definitely one that has women thinking twice if it is a style that they want to wear.
These pictures make me want a pair! What about you? Is the thigh-high a little too high for you, or right up your style lane?

If the thigh-high boot does seem to be a little much for you, then try something a little less bold, like these over-the-knee boots. Still make a statement, but not quite as high and look fabulous with many outfits.

Guess, over the knee:$199.00

Two Lips, over-the -knee:$160.00

Colin Stuart,convertible:$149.00

Take a look at some of Hollywood stepping out in their own pairs of these statement boots, and see if it draws any inspiration to sport a pair of your own.

*Whether you choose to put a pair of these thigh-highs on, or sport a different fabulous style, remember that as long as you feel comfortable and confident with what you have on, then you are going to carry it off!
