What's your look?

Here are my top three favorite hairstyles that I myself usually tend to go with when getting all dressed up. Really, you can wear these (well 2 out of the three) on an everyday occasion but if we are being realistic, especially for those of us with little ones running around...or even older ones stealing our combs, hair product and other beauty needs (I confess that I am guilty of having done that to my mom) then these hairstyles usually end up being done when we have more TLC to give ourselves, along with time to get ready!

I love the loose waves look that Gisele and Amerie are both wearing. This is one of the styles that never disappoints, goes with absolutely any outfit and can be worn for any occasion. If you are wanting some extra hold, make sure to wash your hair the night before, use a good setting cream/gel/spray and don't be afraid to get some good sprays out of that hair spray. There is a great "how to" to create this look here:http://cupcakesandcashmere.com/how-to/ by Emily.

These are two different styles but they really do have the same look to them, so I paired them as one. The side pony, one I actually tend to wear quite often, is fabulous for a great day to day hairstyle too...easy, and quick too! The low asymmetrical bun is really just pinning those pieces from you ponytail around to create a little more elegant look..both are so pretty and easy. The side swept bang is one to always add some softness and class to your style too.

This style is more for the volume in the Mohawk section then the ponytail, though I like the pony too. This style is definitely not one for everyone, nor is everyone as fond of this style but I for one, love this style. It has a little edge with it, and it is something different then the side swept bang, or the flat sleek look...definitely a style that I like.

Here are a couple(seriously just a few of many) of my favorite short hair looks, for those of you that are not growing those longer locks.

Love this super short, sleek style....always wanted to have the guts to just go for it!

I have also always been a fan of the pixie. Stylish, relaxed, super easy, and actually has quite a bit of versatility with all the looks you can create with this short style.

Happy Monday to you all, and hope it has started off well. May you have a blessed week!

Thank You Halle.

From Beauty Queen to Oscar winner, Halle Berry has been a house hold name for many years now. With her classic beauty and impeccable style, Halle Berry has not only been successful in making a name for herself, but she has truly been successful in helping many other women as well. As you will see below, (really should watch) Halle has not only come forward about growing up in a house with domestic abuse and endured it herself, but she has chosen to act on it as well. In doing so, she has made a difference in the lives of women, whom at one time, felt as if there were no hope. This being one of many reasons why Halle has a spot on my list of this years top 20 women of 2009....did I mention she has great style???;)

Whether she is glamed up, or relaxed and casual, Halle always seems to keep some style to her look.

If you could do something to make a difference in others lives and serve others, what would you do?

There are two things I can think right off the bat that I would/will do.

1.)Pick many families each year who have sick children and wipe out their medical bills, put them in a more comfortable home (if needed), send them on a dream vacation etc.

2.)Build a big rec center here in Panama for underprivileged kids and teenagers. I want to give them a place where they can be counseled, and surrounded with positivity...build them up so they have the want in being successful adults.

Blessings!!!

Picks of the week.

Friday is once again here, and will go and come again before we know it. Here are my weekly pics of some outfits that have caught my eye, and are right up my road of style! Hope some of you can draw some kind of inspiration and ideas from these fabulous styles. May you look good for where ever you weekend is taking you!!

The ankle boots, leggins' and biker jacket! Nia pulls this look off with class. I have always thought that she is so beautiful.

I definitely like to wear a vest during fall, and this is one I wouldn't mind putting on.

Amerie just pulls this off....love it. It's different and that's why I like it.

Matching hoodies! Actually I am one for a great hoodie, and I kind of like this whole "unpolished" look on Anne Hathaway. Don't always see her in something like this, yet she looks good.

I always like to have some classy, comfortable, casual looks included, especially for those who are not only toting around a great bag, but their kids as well. It's not always realistic to be wearing your best heels when out with the kids. So here are some looks that are great for that...not that you have to have kids to dress more casual. Sometimes you just got to throw on something more relaxed, and throw that hair up in a ponytail!

A little something to take with you this weekend....

Pics of the week.

Not only love this outfit (especially the boots), but check out that purse too!

I really like the white trench, classy.

It is so attractive to see a man looking so put together, and Will Smith always steps out looking just that.

Just LOVE this whole ensemble....ooh, and look at those earrings, I am a big earring kind of gal!

Hope you all have a fabulous and blessed weekend! Enjoy those close to you that you love!

Until Monday.....

What you wear underneath DOES make a difference.

Bras oh bras....where to begin? As my, very wise, mom told me once "A good bra is definitely something we should buy for ourselves as we get older and especially after having kids, yet it is the one thing that we don't really buy". I have to say that she has never been more right! She made that comment when my two kids and I were visiting her in Lakewood, CO and after she made that comment, she took me to buy 3 good, supportive, contouring bras. That has seriously been the best gift (okay for being an adult;) she has gotten me. I love my Warner's contouring bras, and they are very reasonably priced too! A good fitting bra improves your look in general, how you look underneath your clothes, and it helps with your posture. My suggestion would be to go get fitted, yes you can do it yourself but I say to have it done, and invest in at least 3 good bras. Even if they are a little more expensive than you are used to, trust me, you won't be sorry you did. I can't tell you how much better I look in tighter shirts with my good bras and how much more confident I am when wearing a more fitted shirt. I have posted some great selections from Warner's bras, that are very reasonably priced, and they have many, many more to choose from for all sizes here:barenecesities.com . Also, there are many brands that offer great support and fits....I just happen to be a new fan of Warner's! Oh, and they feel so nice, sleek and soft on your skin too!

Elements of bliss contour:$24.00

Sleek undrwire contour:$26.40

Unslippables contour $25.60

Invisible bliss underwire:$25.60

Daisy lace soft cup: $24.00

Here are some awsome styles, from Fashion Form bras, for those tops that we love but cannot go with out a bra with. Seriuosly, don't go with out one if you know you probably shouldn't. Find a speciality bra for that low back, strapless, or low cut front top. There are many more of these specialty bras found here: fashionform.com . Just thought I would show that they are out there!

**OK, one more thing. ALWAYS wear a nude colored bra under a white, or very pale colored, t-shirt or fitted blouse....looks nicer, cleaner, classier and more put together.

Picks of the week.

OK, so first of all, I had to post this dress that I saw and share it with you all because I love it and want it! The rest of my pics for the week are all great looks with the blazer. I love how you can wear the blazer with jeans (which looks so good) for a more dressy-casual look. Of course, a blazer always looks good with some cute dress pants or skirts as well, giving you some extra class. Check these out.

OK, this isn't a blazer but still loved this light suede jacket.

Some extra edge with the torn jeans.

Really like the white blazer with jeans, and the black heels.

Can't go wrong with this look.

Nice clean and dressy, yet comfortable, and also like the extra color with the blouse.

Couldn't help but notice all the tights around....

Like the red.

Really like the black tights with the nude dress....different.

Love the pattern of the tights and ooh, love those heels too !
